About White Lions-  White Lions have a naturally occurring genetic marker, not albinism, but a rare color mutation of the Lion.  They are indigenous to Africa, and existed for centuries in the Timbavati region of South Africa , with the earliest European sighting in 1938.  Despite their rare skin color, they  hunt as effectively as brown lions and are able to survive in the wild.  They are a capstone animal with cultural importance that need conservation.
