Nkosikhina Mhlakwana (3rd), winner Givemore Mudzinganyama and 2nd placed Dan Matshailwe
Givemore Mudzinganyama won the 2023 Two Oceans Marathon on Saturday morning in Cape Town.
The Zimbabwean crossed the line in 3:09:56, almost 6 minutes and 12 seconds slower than the record set by Thompson Magawana 35 years ago.
Mudzinganyama was followed home by Dan Matshailwe (3:10:19) and Nkosikhona Mhlakwana (3:10:40) both of South Africa.
Gerda Steyn won the women’s race for the fourth time in a row as she came home in a time of 3:29:06.
Amelework Bosho of Ethiopia was second, and South Africa’s Carla Molinaro third.
