A Namibian LGBTQIA+ activist is challenging the country’s anti-sodomy law.
Friedel Dausab’s lawyers argued in the Namibian High Court in Windhoek on Tuesday that Namibia’s criminalisation of same-sex marriage under common law is discriminatory and unconstitutional.
According to Positive Vibes Trust, a Namibian human rights organisation supporting Dausab’s case and the LGBTQIA+ community, Dausab filed the case in June last year.
