Eritrea ranks as the worst place to work as a media practitioner in Africa, with the longest known cases of arbitrary jailing of journalists in the world, according to the latest report from the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ).
As of December last year, there were 16 journalists imprisoned in Eritrea.
This made the East African nation the seventh most repressive country in the world when it comes to the media.
